Location

For your retreat, you’ll be staying in the magnificent and historic Manor, a stunning Jacobean manor house on the Isle of Wight. This Grade II listed heritage property offers exceptional, comfortable accommodations, nestled within 15 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The Manor is situated in the charming village of Shorwell, in a peaceful rural setting within the Isle of Wight’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Arrival on Friday is from 4pm and the retreat will begin at 6pm with a welcome session and short yoga practice and dinner will be at 7.30pm.  You are free to go home after lunch on Sunday, approximately 2pm onwards.

All classes have a heart-oriented life enhancing theme, interwoven throughout the class. Classes in the morning are more “sweaty’ ecstatic and energetic to help dissolve any sluggishness and inertia. The afternoon follows the energy of the day classes are more nurturing, nectar like to prepare for a good restful night.

Sharing occupancy prices only of rooms are occupied by 2 or more people, otherwise single occupancy prices apply.

Rooms are assigned on a first come first served basis, therefore early booking is strongly recommended!

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required on booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before your retreat. 

T&Cs: It is important that you book your own travel insurance to cover your booking, should you be unable to travel as a result of being unwell or any other reason, as we cannot refund.

about yoga with margherita

This weekend yoga retreat is led by Margherita Dal Pra, the founder of YogaM. Margherita is a very experienced yoga and meditation teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. Her teaching is a heart centred, empowering fusion of alignment and flow and she is deeply devoted to helping students reclaim their beauty, awaken deep purpose, and cultivate vibrant health through yoga, meditation and Ayurvedic lifestyle. This yoga weekend is open to all ages and levels of fitness and experience. Every session will have attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), openness to grace (attitude) and intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama). The morning yoga classes will be more upbeat and energizing, and the afternoon classes more relaxed.

All sessions will be adapted to the group and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater for all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and individual attention.

Recommended Journey by Car

The ferry adds a sense of adventure to your retreat! Your experience begins with the journey, and we can connect you with fellow yogis for carpooling and cost-sharing.

Ferry options:

Wightlink (Portsmouth or Lymington): wightlink.co.uk

Red Funnel (Southampton to East Cowes): redfunnel.co.uk

We recommend the Lymington to Yarmouth route for its scenic views and proximity to the venue. Although the New Forest route is longer, it usually avoids heavy traffic in Portsmouth, Southampton, and Newport. You can book one-way via Lymington and return via Portsmouth, as both routes cost the same with Wightlink.

Note: Wightlink’s new Victoria ferry from Portsmouth may take longer to load/unload, so arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, especially during busy times.

•Ferry: wightlink.co.uk to Ryde

For the best timing:

•Friday: Take the 15:15 ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde, arriving at 15:37.

•Sunday: Return ferry departs Ryde at 15:45, arriving in Portsmouth at 16:07. With no delays, you may catch the 16:22 train.
