☀️ Seasonal Insight
Summer is ruled by Pitta dosha — hot, sharp, intense, and transformative.
When in balance, Pitta gives us focus, leadership, and digestion.
But when out of balance, it shows up as irritation, inflammation, burnout, and judgment.
This guide offers gentle rituals to soothe the fire and restore harmony.
🕊️ 1. Morning Rituals to Start Cool
- Wake early before 6:00 AM
• Splash face with rose water or cool water
• Apply coconut or sunflower oil for abhyanga
• Wear light, white or pastel clothing
• Diffuse sandalwood, rose, or vetiver essential oils
🥗 2. Cooling Foods to Favour
- Cucumber, fennel, coriander, mint, coconut
• Bitter greens (rocket, kale, chicory) and sweet fruits (pears, peaches, watermelon)
• Cooling teas: coriander–fennel–rose blend
• Avoid: fried, spicy, sour, or fermented foods
🔥 3. Emotional Pitta Soothing
- Pause before reacting — ask: “What would compassion say?”
• Let go of perfectionism or people-pleasing
• Take breaks from screens and competition
• Journal Prompt:
Where am I pushing too hard? How can I soften?
🌙 4. Evening Wind-Down
- Walk in the cool evening air or moonlight
• Aloe vera gel on the soles of your feet
• Cooling foot soak with rose petals or Epsom salts
• Bedtime breath: Chandra Bhedana (left nostril breathing)
• Keep bedroom cool, quiet, and screen-free
🧘♀️ 5. Gentle Yoga + Breath Practices
- Forward folds, seated twists, supported backbends
• Avoid intense heat-building flows
• Pranayama: Sheetali (Cooling Breath)
• Meditate on the image of a lake or full moon
💌 Reminder:
You don’t need to fix anything.
Your radiance grows when you allow softness, rest, and kindness to yourself.
