Terms and Conditions & Cancellation Policy

It is my intention to share my knowledge and experience in a way, which is accessible, helpful and of benefit to you. However we do live in a commercial world where services are provided and paid for. Therefore, we need to have terms and conditions so that you have a clear understanding of where we stand in regards to this exchange.

1. Residential Retreats – Cancellation Policy

A non refundable non transferable deposit is required to secure your space.

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. I wish I could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centres and hotels. I have designed the cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, I strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance (including covid)

Cancellation made more than 90 days prior to the start of the event, you receive full refund (excluding deposit).
Cancellation made 90 – 30 days prior to the start of the event, provided your place is filled by another person, you may transfer the full credit (excluding deposit) to future events organized by Margherita Dal Pra within the next 12 months from cancellation. Otherwise, you receive no refunds or credits.
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to the start of the event, you receive no refunds or credits.
Cancellation of an event, for whatever reason, must be notified in writing to Margherita Dal Pra via email or the website Contact Form.

In the case of a discretionary cancellation, an admin fee will apply: £60 for weekend retreats and £100 for retreats longer than three days.

Retreat Cancellations

You are responsible for reading and understanding our cancellation policy before you make a reservation.

Of course, no one books with the expectation of cancelling or postponing their retreat, however unexpected things can happen, so it is important that you have travel cancellation insurance once you have made your reservation.

Travel insurance is a condition of booking a YogaM Yoga Retreat which you should take out from the time of booking. Please ensure that your insurance policy includes cancellation insurance to cover you for any unexpected cancellations by yourself, including but not limited to illness, bereavement, family emergency, work conflicts change of circumstances etc, and also in respect of medical expenses, injury, death and repatriation with adequate cover.

Yogam will not be held responsible and no refunds will be made for any cancellation or curtailment due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:-

Cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, pandemics, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations or other events beyond our control.

Participants’ medical or psychiatric/emotional conditions which may become apparent through practising yoga daily on retreat.

Loss of, or damage to, personal property of participants.

COVID 19 – If regulations change to mean that a retreat cannot legally go ahead any money paid would be fully refundable or transferable

If we cancel the yoga retreat:

In the unlikely event that the retreat must cancel due my family problems or health or too few participants, I will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. I cannot compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. To cover these risks, I highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

2. Travel insurance:

The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance. Travel Insurance can protect you in case:
• you cancel your participation in the yoga retreat, including Covid
• retreat is cancelled due to above mentioned situations
• lost baggage
• medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured

Liability:
We do NOT accept any liability for:

  • Cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or
threats, pandemics, closure of airports, civil strike, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, weather or other events beyond our control.
  • Loss of, or damage to, personal property of participants.
  • If you have had any major physical or emotional illness within the past 5 years, or are under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must notify us of the details at the time of booking and, where appropriate, enclose a doctor’s certificate of fitness to travel. Non-disclosure of relevant information can invalidate your insurance and cancel our contractual obligation to you.
  • For sever food allergies please notify us on separate email highlighting the issue. We do our best to cater for all dietary requirements but we cannot guarantee cross contamination in the kitchen. In the case of severe allergies a separate disclaimer will have to be signed.
Margherita Dal Pra has been teaching regular retreats since 2006 and to date it only happed to cancel a retreat once in Kenya for civil action and recently for Covid 19. However in the very unlikely event that she is unable at to teach a retreat at short notice, for example due to but not limited to severe illness or bereavement, Margherita Dal Pra reserves the right to find a replacement teacher. In this situation no refunds will be issued. If no replacement teacher can be arranged and the retreat is cancelled any deposits will be refunded to you in full. Any accommodation costs that have been made to the venue will be refundable according to the venue’s cancellation policy.
Equally if Margherita cancel your holiday for no fault of your own, we will notify you as quickly as possible. She will offer to take an equivalent or superior substitute holiday (if we are able to offer you one) or to take a holiday of a lower price (if we are able to offer you one). We will always refund the difference in price if the replacement holiday is of a lower standard and price.
