A weekend of yoga, meditation, at beautiful Duncton Mill. We hope this place of tranquillity coupled with the yoga practice will help to restore the free flow of healthy life energy.

"Duncton Mill is a hidden jewel nestling at the foot of the glorious South Downs" it is surrounded by peaceful lakes, extensive woodland and an organic farm, making it an ideal retreat venue.  It is also within easy reach of both London and Brighton

 

         

Venue & Accommodation: is spacious and extremely comfortable.  There is a choice of single, double or twin rooms, many with ensuite bathrooms. Towels and bed linen are provided.  Each accommodation building has warming, crackling wood burning fires. All rooms are individually and comfortably furnished with excellent shared bathroom facilities. Food: is given special attention.  Organic and locally sourced wherever possible.  The delicious, vegetarian food is freshly made by Duncton’s reknowned chef, John.  Special dietary requirements can be catered for.

 

Yoga  Our weekend will begin on Friday evening at 6.00 pm with a gentle asana practice and the deep relaxation of yoga nidra, followed by dinner at 8.00 pm. After breakfast on Saturday, we will practise from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm (asana, pranayama and meditation).  After lunch you will be free to explore the surrounding areas or have a massage or read and relax and have a nap.  Our afternoon class will be from 5.00 to 7.00 pm, and will introduce more pranayama and meditation techniques. Saturday dinner will be at 7.30 pm. Sunday morning’s class will be from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, and will again incorporate asana, pranayama and meditation.  Our weekend will finish with Sunday lunch, but you are welcome to stay for a while during the afternoon if you wish to chill out for a bit longer! Classes will be suitable for all levels of experience, except complete beginners to yoga

Travel  By Train from London Victoria, Chichester and Gatwick. The closest station is Pulborough (from London change trains at Gatwick) On arrival at Pulborough station you  will need a taxi. These can be shared between participants (We will inform you of people traveling at the same time as you)- a taxi will cost £15 and can be pre-booked with Silverline taxis. What to bring: yoga mat, 2 yoga bricks, 2 blocks, 1 yoga strap and a throw or blanket for meditation and yoga nidra. Please let me know if you have problem in bringing/finding any of these or you can buy them at www.yogamatters.com. Also bring walking shoes, wellies if you have them waterproof jacket a good book and whatever else you think appropriate. ... and your lovely smile :)

Prices: The cost of the weekend, including accommodation, tuition and all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch will be £295 (10% discount if you book before 15th July).  Meals will be vegetarian.  Accommodation will be in twin rooms, so please let me know when booking if you have agreed to share with anyone else.  A limited number of single rooms may be available, at a supplement of £45 per night.  Bookings should be made directly to me on shantiyoga@gmail.com   or 07919174071.  A non-refundable deposit of £110 is due on booking, and cheques (payable to Margherita Dal Pra) should be either given to me or sent to me at 1a Eton Court 6 Shepherds Hill, London N6 5AF, bank transfer or paypal way of payments are also accepted. The balance of payment is due on or before 15th July. If booking happens after 15th July full amount is requested. I regret that, once made, payments cannot be refunded unless the weekend is full and I am able to find someone to take your place.  You may, however, transfer your booking to someone else, so long as you let me know that you have done so.
